Young People
Borderline firmly believes in the transforming power of drama and aims to be a gateway to the arts to broaden the range of people enjoying and participating in theatre
Over the years, Borderline Theatre has worked with numerous young people through our Youth Theatres and Community groups. Many of our members have gone on to pursue qualifications in performance, technical skills, workshop facilitation etc. and developed successful careers in theatre.
Our projects are open to everyone, regardless of experience. It doesn’t matter if you have never been on stage before or if you have loads of acting experience our projects have something to suit everyone.
Our most recent project was our Summer Project 2008. Taking over the Harbour Arts Centre in Irvine, our group of enthusiastic participants developed their own adaptation of Simon Adorian’s Trojans. Over the course of two weeks, the group worked with our team of professional theatre artists to create a performance, which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who attended.
It was really good, I didn’t want to go home! Comment from Summer Project participant
Thank you once again to the Harbour Arts Centre and North Ayrshire Council, National Lottery 'Awards For All', The Moffat Charitable Trust and The Co-operative Membership for their generous support.
