Schools
Borderline creates and delivers workshops and projects for pupils of all ages. We work closely with staff to ensure that all the work meets exact requirements and pupils’ needs.
Additionally drama can be used as a stimulus for a range of subjects and also allows for the development of self-confidence and a greater appreciation and understanding of others and their situations.
Participants must find their own ways of representing, expressing and communicating within a devised or given setting. A deeper understanding of a particular situation or issues can result from a successful drama workshop. With older participants, some complex situations or issues can arise from their own interests, enthusiasms and concerns.
Most of this work uses drama to develop confidence and tackle challenging issues in a secure way. This can also be done in schools but our programmes compliment the curriculum.
Over the years, Borderline Theatre’s Lifelong Learning department has worked with many schools across Scotland on a variety of projects from one off workshops to a series of workshops as part of a larger project.
