Learning

In keeping with our aim of being a gateway to the arts Borderline also delivers exciting participative drama projects and productions through our Lifelong Learning Department.

Learning through drama is great. Not only does it build people’s confidence and social skills it also allows them to express themselves in a totally safe and non-judgemental setting and most importantly it is fun.

All our Lifelong Learning projects are created in partnership with the groups we work with to ensure everyone gets the best experience possible from working with us wither it is a one–off workshop on voice projection or a six month project to create a new show.

If you would like to discuss any element of Borderline's Lifelong Learning, please do not hesitate to contact us: Lifelong Learning Department.

Our Lifelong Learning work has been going since 1989 when we decided that the best way to open up access to our work and to the arts in general was to create practical workshops and projects for people of all ages.

This strand of our work has developed extensively over the years and we work in partnership with numerous agencies, funders and communities.

Over the years the list of organisations we have worked with through Lifelong Learning includes:

  • South Ayrshire Council

  • East Ayrshire Council

  • North Ayrshire Council

  • The Paul Hamlyn Foundation

  • The Scottish Arts Council

  • NHS Ayrshire & Arran

  • Communities Scotland

  • Strathclyde Police
